Bio:
Ms. Alissa was a "Montessori Kid" herself growing up in Las Vegas, NV. She began teaching violin in 1997 in Flagstaff, AZ where she received her BA in Music from Northern AZ University. In 2003, She was given the "Emerging String Teacher of the Year" award for the state of Nevada from the American String Teachers' Association. Ms. Alissa moved to Albuquerque five years ago and now has a successful private studio with students of all ages. She also often does festival judging and coaching for APS. In her spare time, Ms. Alissa plays with her two dogs: Bitina and Stitch!
