Bio:
Ms. Phyllis teaches visual art at TMES. After receiving her elementary license and Montessori training, she spent her internship year in a TMES Kindergarten classroom. Since 2006-07 she has taught art to all of our students. Her degrees are in printmaking and photography but she has enjoyed working in 3D - especially clay - with the students. “They surprise me every day with their interpretations of our assignments! I try to create an environment that is challenging and fun - one that incorporates all curricular areas and is integrated with cultural studies in their regular classroom.” Ms. Phyllis and her husband have two lively daughters. She enjoys birding, reading, bicycling, studying art, and watching her kids grow up.
