Bio:
I was raised in Albuquerque and I love New Mexico! I am a product of Albuquerque Public Schools, UNM, TV-I, and the College of Santa Fe. I was a long time employee of Philips Semiconductors, and when the plant shut down, I went back to school for my teaching degree. I came to teaching a little later in life, but feel that I have a lot to offer my students, and a LOT of patience! I came to Montessori learning through my daughter who first attended her 2nd grade year at TMES. I watched her blossom as a student, and decided that I would like to be a part of this environment as a teacher. My favorite subject is history, but I enjoy the wide variety of subjects we can get into with the Montessori curriculum. I appreciate the focus on community, and love that we get to talk about peace with a straight face, and with serious intention. I enjoy cycling, hiking, reading, and music, and hope to learn how to play guitar this year!
