Bio:
My name is Natasha Carty and I am thrilled to be here at TMES learning with your children. Before becoming a teacher, I was a Children's Librarian for 11 years and I love to connect children with great children's literature. I received my teacher training through UNM and my 6-9 Montessori training through NAMC. I have three children at home, Josh (15), Susanna (12), and Katie (4). In my free time I love to read, run, do yoga, write, sew and knit.
Ms. Jessica (Jessica Pinon)
Assistant

Bio:
Hi, my name is Jessica and I have been at The Montessori Elementary School for four years and I love working with children. I enjoy teaching my first language, Spanish, to students. I come from a large family and have four sisters. I love to spend time with my niece, Suyuri, who is turning two. In my free time I like to practice yoga, read, and spend time with my family.
The Montessori model is built upon two very basic assumptions that form the foundation for all that happens within a Montessori classroom. These assumptions are (a) that children learn best when they are allowed to experience the excitement of learning by their own choice, rather then by force; and (b) that the learning process follows and honors the pace and skills of the individual child.

Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world. ~Maria Montessori
