Unit Two: Identity

October 31 - November 4, 2011: Click here for the Agenda

When one thinks of identity it can be thought of as one's personal identity or social identity. In the natural world it can be thought of as one's personal environment or the global environment. Within the universe each person identifies with the space he/she occupies and their surroundings. We all experience the invisible force of gravity that keeps us anchored to planet Earth. In this unit we will explore motion and forces that are laws of physics such as Newton 's Laws. We will study the separate forces that act on each of us and the world around us.

We will be watching several short videos that will stimulate discussions on these forces as well as, participate in motion related labs.

There will be readings, experiments, mathematical interpretations of force and motion, an art project and various assessments.
